Listed below are the ways a hold may be removed or canceled:
- The user removes/cancels their hold through Enterprise. (Available holds cannot be removed/canceled on Enterprise)
- A staff member can use the Remove User Hold or Remove Item Hold Wizards to remove the user’s hold.
- A staff member can also right click on a title in the User's list of holds and remove a hold.
- A staff member may also choose the wrong override at the Checkout screen and automatically removes a hold.
Symphony will remove the user's hold if the hold has not been filled in 9 months.
